A Graph-Theoretical Model for the Aircraft Sequencing Problem

چکیده
The main purpose of optimized sequencing of landing/taking-o® operations is to obtain a better exploitation of the existing airport infrastructure, thus improving the performances of the entire ATC system. In this paper we deal with innovative sequencing models for managing arrivals and departures times of the aircrafts at an airport. These models are based on the so-called alternative graph formulation, which resulted very e®ective for modeling and solving the tra±c control problem of large railway networks. We show that the alternative graph model allows a detailed formulation of the air tra±c control problem.
